DEVELOPERS MEETING NOTES

GENERAL PAGE FOR WIKI MANAGEMENT ISSUES
We need a way to discuss management of the Wiki outside the established meetings, something that is a more realtime process, e-mail or a dedicated page. (Geir)

Management Rules – to be created by the organizers of BG.
Smaller things do not need to come to the full group.
Not technical issues, it is management. Example: Do we need procedures for anything?
DEFINITIONS with 2 columns
One for Ged 5.5.1 and 1 column for BG
We need to work on terminology - we have too many undefined terms - each person has hers/his own vocabulary. Maybe create a page for proposals of new terms to discuss. The result should be on a separate BG-terminology page, not mixed with other terminology. (Geir)

Strings vs Templates (discussion of or discussion of where to discuss) (GeneJ) - These are crossover concepts in that the strings or templates debate will effect names, locations, sources and citations, etc.

· German effort – 6 (20?) vendors agreeing on each tag, so their software will agree. Disambiguate GEDCOM terms for one common view.
